In Basketball, a shooting foul is a foul in the act of shooting, resulting in two free throws if you shot a two pointer, three free throws if you shot a three pointer, or one free throw if you made the shot.

A forward pass is a regular pass to any one man.

A bounce pass is a pass that you bounce to any one man. This is most often more effective using a two handed side arm action in delivering the ball.

A Baseball pass occurs when you hold the basketball back behind your shoulder in readiness to pass (as if in throwing a stone or a baseball) and you throw with a baseball action. It is generally used for the longest passes.

An overhead pass is a pass thrown from over/above your own head. The ball is held by both hands above your head, and is usually done when opponents are directly in front of you or are between yourself and your target; it may be short over one player or over some distance.

Except for in the first mentioned situation, most of these passes, or similar, are also used in playing Netball.
