### Is it possible to make a random number generator?

Yes, it is possible to make a random number generator.
Sample Program:
public class RandomTest {
public RandomTest() {
// TODO Auto-generated constructor stub
}
/**
* @param args
*/
public static void main(String[] args)
{
for(int i =0; i <= 10; i++) {
System.out.println("A Random Number no: " + i + " is "+
Math.random());
}
}
}
Output:
A Random Number no: 0 is 0.24880184469826105
A Random Number no: 1 is 0.5369598877111448

###### Asked in Math and Arithmetic

### What is a random number?

* A number generated for or part of a set exhibiting
statistical randomness. * A random sequence obtained from a
stochastic process. * An algorithmically random sequence in
algorithmic information theory. * The output of a random number
generator. * The least random number (17), according to the
Hacker's Jargon File.

### What is a random sequence limit?

To the best of my knowledge, a random sequence limit imposes
restrictions on random number generation. For example, one may want
to generate random numbers such that any number does not occur
consecutively three times.
Another definition of a random sequence limit is the number that
a sequence of random measurements of some property converge to as
the number of measurements increase.

### How do you get Visual Basic to generate a random number?

Or you can do Rnd*232 Where 232 is a number of your choice
higher or lower number. I have used this in a Timer and works
well.

Answer
Use the random function. The example below will give a random
number between 1-100
r = Random(1, 100)

### What is a random number and how are generated?

Random numbers that are generated by a computer are
pseudo-random (not really random), but they will pass enough
statistical tests for randomness to be useful in simulation random
processes. Java has random number generators in the standard
libraries.

### What is the difference between the functions rand random srand and randomize?

RAND: Rand uses a multiplicative congruential random number
generator with period232 to return successive pseudo-random numbers
in the range 0 to RAND_MAX.
Return Value: Rand returns the generated pseudo-random number.
RANDOM(): Random returns a random number between 0 and
(num-1).random(num) is a macro defined in STDLIB.H.
RANDOMIZE(): Randomize initializes the random number generator
with a random value. Because randomize is implemented as a macro
that calls the time function prototyped in TIME.H, you should
include TIME.H when you use this routine
SRAND(): The random number generator is reinitialized by calling
srand with an argument value of 1.The generator can be set to a new
starting point by calling srand with a given seed number.
