Shoes ( I assume we are talking normal athletic shoes) tend to slip and slide on the infield dirt, and sometimes in the grass if it is wet. Wearing cleats (especially metal spikes) help dig into the ground and prevent slipping. They make a huge difference in performance and reaction time.

Why do they wear metal cleats instead of molded cleats in baseball?

leather is heavier, but when you buy it you want it to fit like a glove and it shapes and streches around her foot plastic is lighter but you can crack the cleat but is also makes you r feet sweaqt more As with most things, the answer is, "it depends". Here's a brief rundown of what you can expect from leather and microfiber: Leather: * More breathable than microfiber * May be stiffer than microfiber to start, but tends to end up being more flexible, as it breaks in over time * Will stretch and conform to the foot * Will absorb water * Prices are in the $50 - $150 range Microfiber: * Not as breathable as leather * Can be soft right from the start, but won't soften any further * Won't stretch * Can be treated to be water-resistant (but keep in mind, more water-resistance usually means less breathability) * Can be lighter than leather (also will stay lighter because of less water absorption) * Prices vary from $75 - $300 There are essentially two kinds of leather used in leather shoes: Calf-skin and kangaroo. Calf-skin is the less expensive alternate, and is rarely found in shoes over $100, unless it is specially treated. Kangaroo leather is rare on shoes priced less than $100, but is considered superior, as it can be made thinner (for better touch on the ball), and still remain relatively durable. Virtually every top of the line shoe has a microfiber upper. Whether the advantages listed above are worth the extra money is a matter of personal preference. The high-end (microfiber) shoes also tend to come in every color imaginable, which appeals to some. You can find excellent shoes made of both materials in the $75-$125 range. Having played and coached, I prefer leather. It's more breathable and comfortable in general. Most leather shoes today don't take more than a few training sessions to break-in. I've also seen players get a lot more blisters from microfiber/synthetic shoes.

When where clothes developed?

Clothes probably have been around since people. Clothes are just tools like shoes are. They protected sensitive parts again like shoes. This probably gave advantage to those who wore them over those who did not.

How to look like a baseball player?

To look like a baseball player you need to do a couple things. Your pants should be long, and flared and over your cleats. wristbands also help fit the look. your hat should be curved, but not to the extreme. when its sunny where sunglasses, preferably oakleys. ( on hat upside down or just right on your face. Eye black helps to complete the look too. Sure, you can look as good as you want on a baseball field but that isn't gonna make you play any better. Oakleys? pants over cleats? nahh. You play hard and play solid baseball. You are a ballplayer. If your cocky..your puting yourself in a hole.

Track Shoes and Cleats: Leaving Tracks in Functionality and Fashion?

Staying in shape is one of the most important, and difficult, aspects of life to keep up with. In a time where work, school, the kids, social obligations and lack of personal time seem to overtake everyday activities, finding a time to get a regular work-out can be difficult. Additionally, with the plethora of work – out gear, accessories, outfits, shoes and brands to choose from, finding exactly what you need to begin a healthy work – out can be daunting. The truth of the matter is clothing must be comfortable, but beyond that, what you wear to the track is ultimately up to you. Shoes however, bring a little more to the table and require some additional research and insight. Track shoes are a vital part of any kind of cardio activity. Finding a shoe with the right balance, weight, comfort level, price and appearance can be difficult, but you are not without options. Athletes all over the world have helped develop stable, comfortable, and fashionable shoes for every sporting event known to man. Specialist have worked hours to develop extraordinary arch support, augmented resistance to help with muscle training, a distinctive, appealing design, and increased ankle, back and leg support. Additionally, the kind of track shoes depends on the actual activity being performed. A soccer player or a football quarterback cannot wear regular jogging shoes. Enter the Cleats. Previously, cleat shoes were more about functionality and safety and less about luxury, but modern shoe designers have been able to combine the two and offer some of the most amazing cleat shoes on the market. Cleats are specially formatted shoes that have special nubs on the bottom that enable the shoe to grip combination surfaces. A baseball player needs to be able to run in soft dirt that can be laced with a variety of seasonal elements like rain, snow, or sleet. Cleats help provide extra control and authority over the surface and therefore allow improved athletic performance. Both track shoes and cleats have come a long way over the last decade. With major superstars getting their hands into the design process, these shoes can offer both sophistication and functionality. Not only can you look good exercising and playing a particular sport, but you can find satisfaction in the fact that you are wearing a purposeful, well-designed shoe that will improve your performance and augment safety. There is nothing better than peak performance and style all rolled into one, neat track shoe or cleat.
