It is usually called the "batter's eye", because that is the general direction a player is looking in while batting. Most stadiums have no seats there, because the constant movement of spectators in that area could distract or confuse the batter while he is at the plate, possibly jeopardizing his safety (or at least his effectiveness).
Yes, an equal and opposite force.
For a right handed batter, the opposite field would be right field ... a right handed batter that hits the ball to right field is said to hit the ball to the opposite field. For a left handed batter, the opposite field would be left field.

If the stadium is strictly a baseball stadium, there won't be any seats in center field, and if it's a multipurpose stadium they will be covered, and unused. This is done for the batters... That area is what is known as the "batters eye" which means it's the direct view of what the batter sees from home plate. It's generally a dark color (so the ball can be easily picked up from the pitchers hand), and if there is a video board, it is on a fixed picture during an at bat.
If the baseball hit the ground in foul territory, the ball is a foul ball. If the baseball hit the ground in fair territory, and the batter/runner is still in the batter's box when the baseball hits him, it is a foul ball. If the baseball hit the ground in fair territory and the batter/runner is out of the batter's box when the baseball hits him, the batter/runner is out and the ball is dead.

There are many characteristics in baseball. The main characteristics are pitching the ball to the batter and then the batter running after hitting the ball.
Because where and how the pitcher throws the ball has a lot to do with where and how hard the batter hits it. If the pitcher is throwing the ball on the corners of the plate, moving the ball up and down in the strike zone, and changing speeds generally the batter will not hit as hard as the pitcher who throws the ball, no matter how hard, over the middle of the plate. The defense will usually set its positions based on how a pitcher is going to pitch to a batter. If the defense plays a batter to the opposite field and the pitcher throws a pitch on the outside corner at the knees, the batter is usually going to hit that ball to the opposite field, maybe sometimes up the middle. If the defense is playing the batter to the opposite field and the pitcher throws the ball belt high over the inside half of the plate, chances are the batter will hit the ball very hard and pull the ball away from where the defense is setup.
A player that can't hit.
