The Milwaukee Brewers got their name from their hometown's association with the brewing industry. This Baseball team got its start in Seattle, Washington, as the Seattle Pirates. The team was moved to Milwaukee in 1969 when it was acquired in bankruptcy court by current MLB commissioner Bud Selig. They have so far only appeared in the World Series once, in 1982.
