The school I'm at the requirement (total) is 120 credits in 4yrs, though it takes most people 6 because there aren't enough classes. However, I'm transferring to a small, liberal arts school and the total requirement is 128 credits in 4 years.

There isn't necessarily a required age for graduating. Some students will be 17, if they have a summer birthday or if they started school early. Most students graduate at the age of 18. It's uncommon, but not impossible, for a 16 year old to graduate early from high school if they obtained their credits early or were smart enough to take advanced classes with older students.

Freshman is a term used for students who are either in their first year of high school (9th grade) or first year of college. Ask a guidance counselor, to review your past school history to check if you have enough credits to qualify. You may have more, and move up a year!
