Don Schollander was an American swimmer who competed in both the 1964 and 1968 Olympic Games. He won four gold medals in the 1964 Games and three gold medals and one silver medal in the 1968 Games.

In 1928 Japan won it's first gold medal. It does vary for Japan's most (gold) medals in that Olympic sport. It could be in the winter or summer olympics. Personally I think they would have more ping pong medals.
