There are many types of youth helmets available from Schutt Sports. In football, they range from entry level helmets for very young players (ages 5-9) to the most skilled junior high players in the country.

The prices range from ~$50 to $225. The AiR Standard III is the company's entry level helmet for players first starting to play the game of football. The company offers a compelling option at every price point imaginable, starting with their Hybrid and Hybrid+ models. Available in two types of helmet shells (the XP shell and the Recruit shell), the Hybrid models feature the company's TPU Cushioning in the primary impact area and a comfort fit liner. The Hybrid + helmet is also available as an XP or Recruit helmet shell and is the same helmet as the Hybrid but adds on an inflatable air liner, that makes the helmet more comfortable to wear and gives it a better fit. These helmets are $100 and $125 respectively.

As you work your way up the product line, you come to the Youth AiR XP and Youth DNA Pro+ models. Both of these models feature TPU Cushioning throughout the helmet and inflatable air liners. These models are priced in the $140-150 range.

At the top of the line is the Youth Vengeance DCT, which features an entirely helmet shell design, a completely new facemask line, a TPU air liner and an upgraded Dual Compression TPU Cushioning throughout the helmet. This 4th generation of TPU Cushioning has been specifically engineered to absorb impact of both high and low velocity impacts - both of which are encountered by players during games/practices but require different types of cushioning. The Vengeance DCT will be in the $175-200 range.

All of the helmets can be painted in virtually any color imaginable and can receive any of over 140 different styles of facemasks (in any color you want).

TPU Cushioning is the first helmet padding system to advance beyond the limitations of traditional foam padding. Three years of independent testing have shown that TPU Cushioning absorbs dramatically more impact than any other helmet in the market. TPU Cushioning won't take a compression set like traditional foam padding and it won't break down like foam. Schutt introduced TPU Cushioning in 2003 and remains the only major helmet manufacturer that has advanced beyond traditional foam padding.
