In Harry Potter there used to be a type of bird called a Snidget. It was a bird with a bird with a golden chest and white feathers just like the Snitch. It was sort of a sport to try and catch a Snidget as they were very agile and they found it easy to turn and move while flying. Once a Snidgetwas released in the middle of a Quidditch game. Every one tried to catch it. From then on it was traditional to release a Snidget. That was until the Snitch was made by Bowman Wright who was a skillful metal-charmer. The Snidget was replaced by the Snitch.
