When rounding to a specific place, take a look at the digit immediately to the right of the target. If that digit is 4 or less, zero everything to the right of the target out. If that digit is 5 through 9, increase the target by one and zero everything to the right of it out. If the target is a 9, increasing it will turn it to zero and increase the digit to the left of the target by one.

b/c by rounding 624 down to 600, you know that 600 divided by 6 is 100, so the first digit will probably be a 1
they all are digit numbers

It depends on what you are rounding to. If rounding to the nearest ten, the 9 at the end decides which way to round it, and being a 9, it rounds up. If rounding to the nearest hundred, it was is the 7. If rounding up to the nearest thousand, it is the 8.
If I think your asking the question how I think your asking it, then any number 5 and above you round up. If its below 5 you round down. :-)

Half of 99=49.5 Hope this helps!
I believe that 0.048 rounded to the nearest unit (whole number) would be 0. To round, you look to the right of the digit you’re rounding to. If it’s 0 through 4, you keep the digit the same and make everything after it 0. If it’s 5-9, you move the digit up on and make everything to the right zeroes. So, for example: Round 21.9 to the nearest whole number. We look at the 1, since that is what we are rounding to. We look to the right, and see that the next digit is a 9. So, we move the 1 up to a 2, and make any digits after 0, making our answer 22. Or… Round 21.3 to the nearest whole number. We once again look to the right and see that the next digit is a 3. So, we round it down to 21 by keeping the 1 the same and making everything after zeroes. In your problem (round 0.048 to the nearest whole number) we do the same thing. We look to the right of the first zero and see the second zero. This means we keep the first zero the same and make everything after it zeroes. So, our answer is 0.000, or 0. I’m not sure if this is what you meant by “rounding to the nearest 1,” but I hope this helps!

25.0096 rounded to the nearest thousandth would be25.01. Why? Well, first you have to find the thousandth place. In this case it is the 9. Then, you look to the right of your ROUNDING digit- this is 6. 6 is the KEY digit. Since 6 is HIGHER than 5, you know you have to round UP. Normally, you would simply change the roundig digit to the next digit up, but since he number after 9 is two digits, you have to make an exception. What you do is you change the 9 to a zero and carry the 1 to the hundredths place. Finally, drop all zeroes after the hundredths place.hope this helps!
729 because 93 and 272 hope this helps!!!
