As of December 27, 2008 no college player nor NBA player has achieved a quintuple double. However, four NBA players have achieved a quadruple double:

Just as G sharp is one semitone above G, and G double sharp is two semitones above G, G quintuple sharp can be found five chromatic semitones--equal in twelve-tone equal temperament to a perfect fourth--above G natural. G quintuple sharp is enharmonic to A triple sharp, B sharp, and--most notably--C, as well as D double flat, E quadruple flat and F quintuple flat. On a piano, this note can be played by striking the white… Read More

double ========================= Answer #2: IMHO, I don't think 'double' does the job, any better than 'triple' or 'quintuple' might. If you really need an 'opposite' for 'single', my suggestion is that 'multiple' is about the best you're going to get. (That's of course steering clear of 'married'.) Read More

Not really. Firstly, there are sextuple bonds. Secondly, quintuple bonds readily break to form far more stable triply/doubly bonded compounds, so it really depends on what you mean by strength. Also, while quintuple bonds are almost always between homonuclear species, which means they are strong since the energy match between orbitals is favourable, they can only occur amongst the highest energy shells, namely the 4d and 5d shells. Effectively these bonds are weaker than, say… Read More

The only way that run would count is if it were not a continuous double play... For example, if the batter grounds into a routine double play, the run does not score... but if the batter were to fly out and another runner tries to tag up, and advance from 1st the second, or from 2nd to 3rd, and is thrown out in the process, as long as the runner for 3rd crosses home plate… Read More
