The five major statistics of basketball are points scored, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals. In a game if a player gets a double-double or triple-double, the player gets two or three of the above stat categories in the double figures. For example a double-double could be when a person gets 15 points and 12 rebounds. A triple-double could be when a player gets 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists.
