No, the proper term is roller skate.
Roller-skate, as a verb, should be hyphenated. Roller skate, as a noun, is not.
It depends on its roughness of the surface. The roughness on the surfaces will tell you how much friction will be acting. It is believed that the friction is caused by the interaction of the particles at sub-atomic level. The greater the interaction between the particles, the greater the friction. The more rough the surface, the less area will interact with both surfaces. Different surfaces, will have different friction coefficients, which decide if the roller skate will slip or not slip.
Well, having no friction can be fun. We can Roller~Skate, go down slides and Ice~skate! Theres many other ways - some might be scientific, but I can't name any at this point in time. Thanks for reading, hope it helps! x

The correct spelling is rollerskate.
not necessarily.... i learned to ice skate first and then i was a pro roller skater. It doesnt really make a difference.
a skate deck can mean either a skateboard with out any of its fetures or also a rink where you put on roller skates or roller blades and just skate ~awestling96~
It keeps the roller down and creates friction to allow the roller to move.
