Okay- why are there no say brass honor rolls of names of Holocaust victims and kin, in say, Hudson County- you know as with conventional war casualties? ( maybe some are still alive!) why a characteristically vague approach- no attempt to put a real human spin on the disaster- no attempt to take down different narratives and (box the compass) many conflicting details among survivors- seemingly too many after such a thorough detail-hungry pursuit ( by the Germans). There is a distinct attempt to play a broad band, big numbers angle- rather than anything personalized with the rare exceptions of Anne Frank and some arguably fictional tales of Blockade runners that only indirectly were involved with Jewish people- also why no big shots or celebrities among the vast death toll? there are too many unanswered questions.
