Teacher directed instruction follows the traditional "Sage on
the stage" philosophy. The teacher is the carrier of all
information and will diseminate it to the individual the students
in a lecture style format.
Child centered instruction is founded on strategies that use
experiential, discovery learning. These strategies provide
opportunities for students to learn FROM each other and WITH each
other. Group work and chances to come to their own conclusions
whether through experiments, research, games, discussions, or
hands-on activities.
