In Siemreap, Cambodia. It is not too far away from another famous temple called "Angkor Thom". It is along the line of many other famous sites in Cambodia such as Bayon, Preah Khan, and Bantaey Prei.

It is so famous, you can literally stop anyone in Cambodia and ask them where it is and they will know.

The Angkor Wat Temple complex is in Angkor now known as northwestern Cambodia.
