I'm guessing that you are in the United States or Canada. There
are some international calls that are dialed as "one plus,"
including calls from the US to Canada or vice-versa, but also
including calls to a number of island countries and territories in
or near the Caribbean, including Jamaica, Bahamas, Bermuda,
Dominican Republic, Cayman Islands, and Trinidad & Tobago. For

For other international calls, you dial the international access
prefix, which is 011 for direct-dial calls from the U.S. and
Canada, or 01 for operator-assisted calls. You then dial the
country code, city code or area code (if any), and subscriber
number.
