All pointe shoes hurt,
for some poeple, there first pair hurts the least
for others it hurts the most.
But when you first get pointe shoes you dont do much dancing on them, so it wont hurt as much. but it probably hurts more than you would expect.

∙ 14y agoPointe shoes are quite uncomfortable when you first put them on, and I would recommend wearing a padding at the end of the shoe, so it protects your toes while you are dancing. Make sure you have permission from a qualified teacher/ your dancing teacher because otherwise, you could start too young when your toes are too soft, and therefore damage your toes for later life.
When you first of all start point, you need to darn the shoes first. Do that at home before the lesson. Then try putting them on and standing up at the wall with them, while moving your feet up and down. Then try moving around...
