They are very similar (as Dye owns Proto), but the Dye UL is much lighter and offers slightly better accuracy.
accuracy is determined by paint to bore match and paint quality, depending on the paint you use the proto could very well be more accurate, as for the two barrels the UL is not much lighter, if anything it is very minimal and i have yet to see that anything besides the logo and a little of the outward shape is different between these barrels
The only true difference is the price tag. The milling, porting, and size are all the same.
they are pretty much identical, both lightweight aluminum 2 piece barrels, take your pick
Proto is a division of Dye, much like Chevrolet is a division of GM.
Not really, in fact, many players use the Dye backs and a Proto tip.
Currently the best Paintball gun that you can purchase would be a DM9 it is made by Dye and is about 1600$ for the best one the reason it is because of its range accuracy speed and precision also the Dye Ultralite barrel helps this gun and a good nitrous tank also get a rotor hopper it is the best hopper and the Dye Ultralite Barrel is the best Barrel Hope this Helped!
The threads are autococker threads. All proto and dye guns have autococker threads.
They are basically the same company just different names. Their products are nearly identical. There is even some speciaulation as to Proto discontinuing the PM8 because Dye wanted to use that is "new" technology for their guns
Proto paintball is the sister company of Dye Precision. Their gear is extremely similar to Dye products and is targeted to new players just getting involved in paintball who do not have large budgets. However, you will see Proto gear being used throughout all levels of recreational and competitive paintball.
Yes, it does.
yes, also has a couple other modes
This is the newest in Dye markers. The bolt system is the same to a proto rail, though the barrel, ASA, and bodies are different. The NT has a price around $1500
you fold up the piece of clothing and put a couple of rubber bands around it in different places and just dye the piece and when you are done, remove the rubber bands and you have your tie dye.
