Is it traveling when you dribble then get up off the floor?
If you are NOT dribbling and you are holding the ball on the floor, and you get up without dribbling that is considered traveling.

If an NBA player has picked up his dribble can he throw it off of the defender and start dribbling again?
yes he can. when the ball touches the defender possesion switches over to the opposing team witch allows the player the ability to regain the ball and continue on dribbling. t…hough the defender could steal that ball. WORD TO THE WISE: most basketball players will not turn their back on the ball, and throwing the ball at a defender facing you can result in a technical foul.
Is it a travel if you get up off the ground without dribbling but the person kept a pivot foot in place when getting up?
If the person was on her knees at any point - yes, it is a travel. Signed, IAABO Certified Official
Would it be considered a travel in basketball if you dribble then take one step then jump stop and jump off with both legs without taking another step?
Yes, this would be considered a travel because you first took a step (legal, has a pivot foot), picked up the ball (legal, has a pivot foot), did a jump stop (legal, but no mo…re pivot foot) then jumped and landed back on the foor (this is a walk because you are assigning another pivot point for your body after you lost the original pivot point). Traveling in Basketball Yes, it is considered a travel. You have taken three steps and it is a travel. If the ref saw it, you will be called on it and a turn-over will be called on you! A travel in basketball means you moved with out dribbling the ball. So if you are dribbling all that time you will be fine, however if you are not and keep on stopping and picking up the ball that would be a travel .
To remove a wax build up off vinyl flooring mix together 2 partsammonia with 2 parts hot water and 1 part dish soap. Cover a smallarea with the mixture and scrub with a mop an…d continue until thefloor is done. Next use plain warm water to rinse the floor and drywith old cloths.
if you fall down and then you pass the ball to another player that would be the best thing to do. But if you get up off the floor and or roll over then it would be a roll pena…lty and the opposing team would get the ball. the best bet would be to pass to another player without rolling.
yes you must dribble first
basically it's called exactly that-double dribble or travel unless there are some techy terms reffs use most people call it that
MIKA wrote the song himself.
Travelling and double dribbling is not a foul though you get a turnover. This is when there is a mistake made by a player and the ball is handed over to the other team.
A double dribble is when you dribble the ball, pick it up with both hands, and then dribble again. A travel is when you pick the ball up and take a step that is not a pivot.
yeah if you smoke enough
No, it is a violation in High School rules, Rule 4.29 in the NFHS rule book says "Kicking the ball is intentionally striking it with any part of the leg or foot." The rule bo…ok doesn't specify the difference between the offensive or defensive kicking. So any party doing the above action would be called for a violation.
If you are in the air and dribbling at the same time it is insanely awesome but not traveling.
In Ice Hockey
Thanks for letting us know.
In Basketball Rules and Regulations
The ref Will Call it and the ball will be given to other team
In Idioms, Cliches, and Slang
It would mean that you made some sort of grammatical error and hadto figuratively pick yourself up and correct yourself. I've neverheard anyone say this before.
