You should check the dwell on the gun. Alot of times the gun will attempt to shoot faster then it can, therefore making the solenoid and bolt have to catch up.
Proto SLG all the way. Stay away from the spyders.
its a decent marker but a horrible value, for the money you can do much better in todays market
Proto is a division of Dye, much like Chevrolet is a division of GM.
Proto paintball is the sister company of Dye Precision. Their gear is extremely similar to Dye products and is targeted to new players just getting involved in paintball who do not have large budgets. However, you will see Proto gear being used throughout all levels of recreational and competitive paintball.
You should use HPA with a Proto SLG.
"Best" is always a matter of opinion, depends on if you are looking for an entry level marker or a mid range and if that $275 (assuming it is USD) is for just the marker or everything needed. I suggest looking at the proto matrix rail though
The eyes on a Paintball marker work by sending a visible or invisible beam of light from one side of the breach to the other, usually near the bottom of the breach. When the light is disrupted, by the next ball dropping in, the circuit board and firing processes are allowed to begin, if the beam is still complete, meaning there is no ball in the chamber, the marker will not fire. This prevents the bolt from coming forward while the ball is still falling into the chamber and chopping.
There is no such thing as the "best" paintball marker. Anything over $700 is mainly preference. If you don't want to spend that much on a paintball marker, markers such as the Dangerous Power G3, Proto SLG, or Azodin Blitz are all great for the price. Also keep these two things in mind: Nowadays lower end markers ($200-$350) can compete with the ultra high- end ones ($1000-$1500+) fine. Also, the marker does not make the player. No matter how much money you put into your marker, it will not make you a better player.
2 lbs. 2 oz
The proto slg is very accurate even with the stock barrel
PMR can stand for physical, medicine, and rehabilitation, patient medical records, or Proto Matrix Rail (paintball maker).
Definitely a tank before a hopper. If you go on Zephyr Paintball they have a 20 oz C02 tank for only 14 dollars and a proto primo hopper for also 14 dollars.
