The meaning is not exactly the same. To clinch an argument means to present some conclusive statement which must inevitably be accepted by the person or audience to whom you are speaking. Not all arguments get clinched, of course. Whereas a conclusion is just the point to which your argument was heading. Your conclusion may or may not be regarded as clinching the argument.
