Gasoline doesn't freeze. Diesel however does jellify and if it doesn't have an anti-freeze in it it will not move through the fuel lines and engine will not start.

no, there is not a fuse inside the fuel pump - check to make sure you have 12 volts to fuel pump for first 3 seconds when key is on position- also check ground to fuel pump if both of these are good and you have no or little fuel pump pressure check fuel filter or replace it- if no or little fuel after replacing fuel filter then replace fuel pump also don't forget to check fuel pressure regulator (although this is a rare problem among Chevy Malibu's)
