A 15 hp Mercury requires a 50:1 ratio, roughly one pint of 2 cycle oil, to six gallons of fuel, or, 3 oz of oil per gallon of fuel.
The 2 stroke will be faster because of differences in Waite but more polluting be it oil mixed with fuel

i have a 89 DT 15hp Suzuki with a oil injector that is leaking and no longer working. we use a 50:1 mixture and have had no problems with it running right. strong little motor!!

I have a 1996 merc 15 hp they say 50:1 but I run at 40;1 a little more lube won't hurt it's worked ever year since 96!
