looking for a picture of where a tcm is located on a 2007 grand cherokee jeep limited
Under dash most likely by steering column.
1996-2001 OBD-II XJ Cherokee, the TCM is under the dashboard, near the Drivers right kneecap.
The Transmission Control Module (TCM) is located on the lower side of the transmission, behind the driver side axle. Look surfe.be/ext/2252908 surfe.be/2252908
A 96 GC has the TCM as an integral part of the PCM for both 6 and V8 models. On some earlier 6 cylinder Grand Cherokees, the TCM is separate and is bolted to the firewall; nuts to remove are next to the brake booster, under the hood, tho the TCM on these is inside the vehicle.
The engine computer also handles the transmission control on this year Grand Cherokee. It is on the firewall on the passenger side. It's fuses will be in the under hood fuse box.The engine computer also handles the transmission control on this year Grand Cherokee. It is on the firewall on the passenger side. Right next to your gas pedal.
P1698 no bus message from tcm. The engine computer is unable to "talk" to the transmission computer. You need to check the wires between the two.
Transmission control module.
yes
The Transmission Control Module for your Grand Cherokee is located under the driver side of the instrumentation console (underneath the dash) up against the fire wall near the outside of the vehicle. You should be able to see it with a flashlight as the TCM has and orange/yellow connector.
