Yep, Common problem with no good solution.

Mine needs replacing every 30000-60000 miles.

The so-called tensioner is just a band aid fix that will probably cause the oil pump to fail once the timing chain eats through the plastic.

I've been looking at the possibility of replacing my chain driven system with a quite type geared system. Stay tunned for a better answer because I am with the thought anything but the quite type gear driven system will make the computer malfunction although even the quite gear system may cause issues.
