Jack the truck up from the rear, put the truck on stands, You are going to need to drop or remove your fuel tank completely or just make enough room to work under the bottom of the truck. Reason for removing or dropping the fuel tank is because the fuel pump is directly in the fuel tank and between the bottom of the truck. Removing the tank is not that difficult, just make sure that your tank is either empty or you are going to need to put a jack under the tank for support. If you are going to replace the fuel pump and have a new one on hand, don't worry about trying to disconnect the male and female connections, just break off the male ends, it's going to be a lot easier and faster. there are going to be a total of three fuel lines from the fuel pump, two electrical connections on the pump (make sure that the new fuel pump comes with an electrical core replacement if it doesn't have one either get a different pump or buy one seperately) there are going to be two connections on the fuel tank, one in the rear and one in the front, and finally two straps that hold the fuel tank up. Also replace the fuel filter located on the drivers side under the trucks on the frame, you should be able to see it when you are remonig the fuel tank. hope this helps.
