The computer needs to be reset for the transmission its around $250 but will resolve the issue.
check the trans fluid.
i have a 2002 saturn ls2. my transmission jerks in first and second gear and when i put on breaks. what should i do?
If the automatic transmission car jerks when accelerating and the dash does not indicate a gear, there is a problem with the transmission. Check the shift solenoid.
When an automatic car jerks into fourth gear it could be the transmission. You may need transmission fluid or a new transmission. A licensed mechanic can check the car.
bands are worn.
no you may need a transmission adjustment or maybe a new filter
If the transmission jerks 1st check the level of transmission fluid. To do this place the car in park, Place the parking brake on, Next start engine and pull out the transmission dip stick wipe with a clean cloth or paper towel re-insert the dip stick and check the level if low add transmission fluid to the proper level. Now drive car and if it shifts normal you are done. If the transmission does not shift then the transmission oil and filter must be changed. Once this is done test the car and if it shifts you are done. If it still jerks you will have to take it to a transmission shop for their diagnostics.
Time for a tune up.
You should probably see about checking out your transmission!
first u have to hire a bouncer, and then when you see a jerk coming in click on him and then click on the shoe. jerks have a yellow mohawk, pig top, white trousers and pink shoes. jerks are always boys and always look the same.
If a car jerks forward while in the break position it is not the Automatic Break System but rather the transmission.
If your Impala jerks while going up hills, it could be low on transmission fluid. If it does not do it on level ground, check the fluid and replace the filter.
