most likely the CRANK POSITION SENSOR
on the fuel line but it might not have one
What won't start, the Jag or the Sony?
Yes
To start the Jag, is pretty simple... You have to prime the injectors... on the fuel rail is a treaded nipple, take the cap off and very slowly pour gas into the fuel rail... then the injectors are primed and the car should start... also check your fuel pump it should prime the injectors on its own...
Its in the fuel rail at the end of the head after the last Injector.

check for spark and fuel. If it's spark loss I'm finding building evidence of the crank sensor being at fault. Try checking this first.
You have to remove the fuel tank. The pump is inside the tank in a plastic mount. Its about a 4 hour job in and out.
In the initial spin-off from JAG to NCIS they have come. After that, Commander Coleman of JAG has come in a few episodes like "Hometown Hero"
I have never had the pleasure of working on a Jag. But a engine is a engine. It could be a lot of things. The first thing I would check would be the fuel lines, make sure they are not bent or broke, then the fuel filter, then the fuel pump... Check for fuses & relays I have no idea where they are on a Jag. Some cars have a emergency fuel shut off in the trunk, or behind a kick panel, they usually have a reset button you have to push...some have to be reset if the car ran out of fuel. The owners manual should tell you where the relays, fuses,& emergency shut off are located. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
I have a 88 jag xjs v12 and the gas tank is a 21 gallon.
car wont start, alarm making noises, what to do
