A bright light that causes you to shut your eyes is called a glare. A glare is harmful in that light enters your eye, but doesn't help you see.
The fact is you can go search every where and ask any one but blinking your eyes while you sneeze is a natural body reaction. When you see a bright light you sneeze and your eyes close so that they can shut longer than when you blink so you won't hurt your eyes . As much as you try not to blink you cant because when you sneeze your entire body shuts down for that time so your eyes close as well. Another reason why you naturally blink when you sneeze is that if you did not blink while sneezing, your eyes would pop out.
Blood shut eyes are when your eyes hurt when you open them. It happens when you don't get enough sleep. Sometimes when you have blood shut eyes, you don't have pink eyes just normal white but a little pink. You have to sleep more or get some drops to heal it. Water or anything else wont work.
Muscles.
Rod cells are sensitive to light due to chemical reactions that pass through cellular membranes, stimulating electric nerve impulses that your brain then forms images with. An interesting experience to this is easy to do. It is call after image, image reversal, and many other things. But if the chemical reaction continues for a while, it takes the cells a while to recover, maybe 20 or more seconds. To experience this, cut out a square or round circle with black paper. Glue it onto the middle of a white sheet. Next hold this paper in front of your eyes, with a bright light shining on it of course, for a minute or so. Do not move your focus from the image on the paper or look around or the experience will not work well. Then shut your eyes tightly and maybe even place your hands over your eyes. You will see the reverse image now for a few seconds. You can experiment with this using different colors, or even look at a window on a bright day. Close your eyes, and you still will have a few seconds of the image.
talk less, work more
It happens so to protect our eyes from the bright light. When the harmful light rays hit the retina, the brain forces us to shut our eyes by making us sneeze.
You can only see that car's headlights since you are just focusing your eyes in it not in the entire car. Your eyes adjust to the light by using an 'iris'. When bright light is shone into your eyes, the iris shuts down to protect your eyes. The surrounding area, especially behind the light, is many times darker. Because your eyes have shut down the light, there is not enough light entering your eyes to see the darker areas.
Yes.
When suddenly exposed to bright light, your pupils will automatically constrict (actually the constrictor muscles of the iris will contract, causing the iris to expand and narrow the pupil). Also, it is likely your eyelids will squint shut.
