From Latin Idolium meaning image. Also the Greek word Eidolon, meaning 'appearance, phantom, mental image or statue
Generalized cells are round or spherical in shape and perform basic life functions. Cheek cells are generalized cells. They are flat, basically round, and protect the inside lining of the mouth.
Holding something over your head gives the mental image of holding it just out of reach so that you will pursue it.

The image is reflected from a reflective object, in this case [your mirror], as a Book is not a mirror, it is not reflected.
This is a sign. A sign is a physical object that gives the reader a mental image of an idea, thought, or other mental event. The study of these kinds of ideas is called semiotics.

image larger than object
The object- and image-points of a particular lens are described as conjugate. The object point, or the point at which the image is taken from, and the image point, the image itself, are able to be flipped perfectly, as if the object is placed where the image was, an image will appear where the object was.
An image is an optical representation of an object.... Object is real... while image is not... i thnk the word imaginary fits for image.... we can take example of our shadow... when light falls on us ( object ) it creates an image (shadow ) in the ground....
Because the image is not real. The object is not really there, it's only virtual.

real and virtual images
For a convex lens the focal point is the transition point between getting a real image and a virtual image. If the object is at a greater distance then F you get a real image. If the object is closer to the lens then F you get a virtual image. If the object is located at F the light rays from the object leave the lens parallel and never form any kind of image.
You would use a mental image if you were daydreaming or if you were experiencing something that your mind would not accept (Something disturbing, unbelievable, etc.). You could also use a mental image when you are trying to remember something or picture the result of an action or possibility.
When the object is located at the 2F point, the image will also be located at the 2F point on the other side of the lens. In this case, the image will be inverted (i.e., a right side up object results in an upside-down image). The image dimensions are equal to the object dimensions. A six-foot tall person would have an image that is six feet tall; the absolute value of the magnification is exactly 1. Finally, the image is a real image. Light rays actually converge at the image location. As such, the image of the object could be projected upon a sheet of paper. Source: The Physics Classroom : Object-Image Relations (Image is on site)
