The group of invaders that Ramses defeat was Tehenu, but they invaded Egypt again in a century later.
The Hyksos invaded Egypt during the second intermediate period around 1650 BC. It was almost 100 years before the Egyptians where strong enough to fight them and even then it took 30 years to defeat them. The 25th Dynasty of Egypt where also foreign kings who had taken control during 945 BC under king Shoshenq founding the Libyan or Bubastite dynasty which ruled for 200 years.
King Ahmose I drove out the Hyksos from Egypt around 1550 BCE. The Hyksos were a foreign ruling group that had invaded and occupied parts of Egypt for over a century. Ahmose's successful military campaigns mark the beginning of the New Kingdom period in ancient Egyptian history, restoring native rule and revitalizing Egyptian power.
