England
The Spanish Armada refers to the fleet of ships that was sent by Spain in 1588 to invade England. It was intended to overthrow Queen Elizabeth I and restore Catholicism as the dominant religion in England. However, the Armada was defeated by the English navy, leading to a significant decline in Spanish power and influence.
Queen Elizabeth I of England was the monarch in 1588, when the armada was defeated. King Phillip II of Spain sent the armada in an attempt to invade England. Although Elizabeth was the monarch at the time, It was sir Francis drake who led the english, and The duke of Medina Sedonia led the armarda.
The Spanish Armada set sail with 150 great ships but they returned to Spain with 67. The beating of the Armada was a combination of both luck and skill but England's main weapon was their new and improved weapons. The Spanish had more planning but as the English had just designed a new set of ships, which were just as big as those in the Armada, but as they were lower and lighter due to the cheaper and less heavy cannons the ships could be manoeuvred better. This was a huge advantage. Before many of the ships were lost by Scotland (due to bad weather conditions), the English set fire to some of their ships and drove them into the Spanish.
Elizabeth I made half of them starve to death and not come back to land because she promised them all lots of money if they defeated the armada but to save her money she let half of them die. better than the previos answer :)
becouse they saw the ships on fire and they didn't whant the set there own ships on fire

They would turn England Catholic again.
She sent saint Francis Drake out to fight them and he damaged most of there ships. Also what helped was that most of the Spanish Amarda's crew was already to week to fight, because of the lac of vitamins on bored, or dead, by the time they were visible to see from the english boarders.
A combination of good seamanship and bad weather scattered the Spanish fleet

The results of the Spanish armada battle was that England defeated them... Spain had "less-mobile" ships so they could not maneuver as easily as England could. Also a storm known as the Protestant Winds came through, wiping out the Spanish. Before this battle Spain was known as "sea dogs" they were rulers of the sea. After being defeated by England, they lost that control and England gained it.The English beat the Spanish armada. The English played some small part at the Battle of Gravelines, however ths stormy weather caused the loss of some 65 Spanish ships and 20,000 men
