A Triangular Pyramid
pyramid
A polyhedron with a polygonal base and triangles for sides.
Octahedron- A polyhedron with eight faces. All faces of a regular octahedron are congruent, equilateral triangles.
A pyramid has a polygonal base with all other sides being triangles. As the Egyptians famously demonstrated, a common pyramid has a square base with four triangles meeting at a vertex, but any polygon - regular or irregular - can be used as the base of such a polyhedron.
A triacontakaidigon is a polyhedron with 32 sides. If the sides are all triangles, then there are 32 triangles in a triacontakaidigon, but a triacontakaidigon does not need to have triangular shaped sides.
A regular octahedron.
What polyhedron has eight sides and all of the are equilateral triangle?
Tetrahedron, icosahedron.
A prism isa polyhedron- that is, 3-dimensional shape bounded by polygons. It has two parallel bases that are identical polygons. The corresponding sides of these polygons are joined together by quadrilaterals.A pyramid is also a polyhedron. It has a polygonal base of n sides and n triangles, attached to each of the sides of the polygon, that meet at an apex above [or below] the plane of the polygon.AA prism isa polyhedron- that is, 3-dimensional shape bounded by polygons. It is a 3-dimensional shape - a polyhedron = whose base is a rectangle and which has four triangular faces attached to its sides. These free vertices of these triangles meet at an apex above the base.
That seems to fit the description of a pyramid
A regular octahedron.
