In other words, a prophet is honored everywhere but in his own country and in his own home. Jesus spoke these words to show that those who had only recently heard believed, while those who knew him since he was a child did not. The modern day equivalent is that those who don't know you that well will treat you with respect, while often times your family treats you with contempt.
Answer:I had this happen to me when I became a minister. One of my sisters called me up one day and asked me sarcastically "You are going to be a minister?" To this day she still never comes when I have sermons etc. The rest of the family does but not her. She pretends to love me and support me but they are just words. The same happens whenever I call her on the phone, she rarely calls back. One of my former pastors had the same problem with his sister. She always makes fun of him whenever he talks to her. The point is, it is not people who determine what you do for God. Your and my job is to obey God regardless of what people say. The same thing was true of Jesus. The crowds loved Jesus, but the Pharisees did not. So should he have given up his mission to save us because not everyone accepted him? No, of course not.
Yes, it hurts when this happens and our emotions are involved. But God has set before each of us the duty to do what he asks of us if we are Christians. I lost a lot of friends when I became a Christian but I also gained a lot of friends. We have to keep going for God regardless of what people say. That is a tool of the enemy to discourage us and make us quit. So we have a choice, either give up when people assail us with comments or go on with God and be blessed. What will you choose?

Neither. He is a Muslim prophet. Judaism does not recognized Jesus as anything more than a heretic. Christianity recognizes Jesus as the Son of God / Messiah and he is, therefore, far more than a prophet.
