This is true in America. However, some societies have a less Puritanical and prudish culture. There it is allowed to have more than one husband or wife.

A man with multiple wives = polygamy

A woman with multiple husbands = polyandry

It all depends on what the term "husband" means. Does she have many men who she treats as husbands or she is actually married to many men as some cults or religions allow for. The crux of the matter lies in how open her relationships are and on whether the "husbands" accept that their wife has many men. If in the case of open marriages, this is the way the wife and "husbands" chose to live, I really see no problem in it. Its the same as in the Muslim religion where a man has many wives. What good for the goose, is good for the gander.
