advantages is:1) we are able to analyse relationship between current and voltage.2)able to give the resistance applied in circuit.there is only one limitations that is it can change its value if the circuit is left on for long time.thankyou:).

ohm's law not applicable in semiconductor and super conductor.

Another Answer

Well, the main disadvantage of Ohm's Law is that it hardly qualifies as a law, as it applies to so few materials and electrical devices!

Ohm's Law only applies to a very limited range of 'ohmic' or 'linear' conductors, despite what Ohm thought when he wrote about it.

So, it is hardly a 'law' at all -it certainly isn't universal. Quite frankly, there's very little point in continuing to teach Ohm's Law, so it's surprising how much effort is spent on doing so. The equation, R = E/I, isn't derived from Ohm's Law, but from the definition of the ohm.

Personally, I think Ohm's Law has been shown to be erroneous and should be abandoned!

In ohms law there is a constant temperature, but the temperature will not be constant at all instant this law is theoretically applicable but not applicable in practical.
