Well i have read that if you are desolving unpure gold i.e. 14k then you first add salt a bit at a time to precipitate silver, filter the silver solids and then add Sodium Hydroxide or sodium sulphate (Lye) a bit at a time until all gold is precipitated. filter out the gold solids (black dust) then kill the mixture with Lime juice for safe disposal.
Aqua Regia is the only way I have done this. There is a whole procedure for dissolving the gold and collecting it from the liquid.
Aqua regia:a mixture of concentrated HCL(hydrochloric acid)&conc. HNO3(nitric acid) in ratio of 3:1 ,can dissolve gold.
No, nitric acid has to be fortified by addition of hydrochloric acid, together named: King's acid or Aqua Regia, because of its capability of dissolving the royal metal: gold.
A cup of aqua regia
Gold Reagent is used to precipitate Gold It is the part of Aqua Regia Process
Long ago they had trouble dissolving gold because of it's low reactivity. However, after the invention of Aqua Regia this was no longer an issue.

Red glass is made by dissolving gold in aqua regia, recovering the gold oxide thereby created, and adding the gold oxide to molten glass. Because of the gold content red glass is very expensive.
The solvent if gold is Aqua
Aqua Bayer's tail is gold.
Aqua Regia will dissolve gold. Aqua Regia is a mixture of Nitric acid and Hydrochloric acid.
Aqua regia will dissolve gold. It will not dissolve quartz rock.
No, it won't explode. When Hydrochloric acid and Nitric acid are mixed in a ratio 1:3, they form a very corrosive mixture called Aqua Regia. Aqua Regia is very high corrosive liquid capable of dissolving even gold.
Nobody would clean gold using aqua regia - it dissolves the gold, which is the last thing you'd want to do.
because the atomic structure is so dense it breaks through the dimensions and calls upon the gods for dissolving powers. then it takes an epic journey and becomes enlightened and melts through reality
