To correct the problem you need to delete everything in the prefetch folder.Perform Start - Run - Prefetch (type in prefetch) - Press Now delete everything in the Prefetch folder.Close out and reboot and you should be good to go.

If you have windows, then you and I have had the same problem. I had just given up on Itunes for a while becuase I tried everything I could think of to fix it. I was searching the internet for solutions and one suggested uninstalling QuickTime. I did this and immediately tried Itunes and it came on with no difficulties. First check for a blown fuse. Check to see if there is power at the motor. If there is power at the motor then the motor itself is bad.
