inherited genes that made it resistant to the pesticide
insects got stupider.
It's not
They don't adapt. Some insects, due to genetic mutation, are naturally immune to pesticides. When pesticides are applied, most insects die but the immune ones survive and reproduce. Pesticides never really solve pest problems and do more harm than good.
Yes pesticides are some what bad because of what they do, they kill insects. They also go threw the ground and eventually end in water making pollution... Some of the insects that the pesticides kill are actually not going to hurt the plants that the pesticides are on in the first place. that means pesticides kill and pollute, does that sound very good. Pesticides are made from chemicals, bad ones at that and poison's in poison's out.
Yeasts are found to adapt swiftly to their environments. For example, it has been noted that they adapt to changes in salt content very quickly.
Because their total lifespan is very short.
I am not sure what you mean. Insects adapt to their environment in a variety of ways. Some adapt by their coloration-- for example, certain insects, like the walking stick, are brownish in color so they can blend in with trees and not be seen by predators. Other insects like ladybugs adapt by how they taste; because ladybugs are bitter-tasting, predators that see them often do not want to eat them. Other insects adapt to their environment with the ability to trap prey despite being small in size (like spiders trapping prey with a slender and very sticky web).
If you are unicellular you will be able to reproduce very quickly, thereby making more of your type of cells quickly. Another advantage to being unicellular is that unicellular organisms live a short life, so they are able to adapt very quickly, verses a multi-cellular organism that could take hundreds of years to adapt.
Yes. "We all have the ability to make quick temperature adaptations. For example, when you step in the shower it immediately feels either too hot or too cold. For a moment, it's very uncomfortable, but that quickly changes. The receptors in the skin adapt very quickly to that stimulus." -findarticles.com
There has been debate on why insects are so successful in nature mostly it starts with how they are able to adapt so quickly and several evolutionary traits. For one insects evolved to have an exoskeleton and tendons and muscles are fused directly to this outside skeleton and enables them to move quickly and nimbly, to dodge predators and catch prey. So more insects are able to survive to mate and reproduce to create another generation of insects.Another main reason is that insects have a very short reproductive cycle, it takes very little time for another generation of insects to be born and grow into adult hood. Also many insects can reproduce asexually (without the need for male sperm) which can lead to a large amount of insects in a short period of time.
Tamarisks are able to adapt in desert areas because they can find even small amounts of water underground. They are also able to grow very quickly.
Im ambitious and I take on challenges I can work in a busy environment , I can adapt very quickly
because, they are adapted in such a way to optimise the available water resources. and moreover the bright colours will attract insects for a possible pollination
Insecticide. If you are doing some sort of test that contains this very question, the answer would be "Pesticide." Note, however, that this is a too-general answer, since pesticides cover not only insects, but weeds, fungi and bacteria that invade and reduce crop yields of crops.
