Velocity is defined as the rate of change of the position of an object in relation to the specification of its speed and direction of motion. Therefore, an object at rest will have zero velocity.

An object that is standing still has a speed of zero, but remember, any measurement of the speed of an object depends upon the frame of reference of the person doing the measurement (as explained by Einstein's Theory of Relativity) so any motionless object could also be a moving object, in a different frame of reference.

0, the unit you are using doesn't matter.

When an object is at rest, it is not moving. So, the speed is 0 m/s.

Measured in the frame of reference in which the object is at rest,

each of those quantities is zero.

An object at rest has a velocity of zero.

Is there velocity when the object is at rest?

No. Velocity means speed.

Is zero the velocity of an object at rest?

Yes.

The v is the same as the ending velocity when the object starts from?

Rest.

What is inertia of rest and inertia of motion?

Intertia is the tendency of an object to maintain its velocity: if an object is at rest, it has the tendency to remain at rest; if it is moving, the tendency is to keep moving with the same velocity. That is what happens if no forces act on the object; if forces act on the object, including gravitation, friction, and others, its velocity will change.

What are the condition for an object to stay at rest the moving at constant velocity?

The condition for an object to stay at rest or if moving, moving at a constant velocity is that the sum of forces acting on the object be zero or that no force acts on the object.

What happens when no force acts on an object?

Nothing changes. When no force acts on an object moving with constant velocity, the body continues its motion with uniform velocity, or if the object is at rest, it will remain at rest.

What is the word that means zero velocity?

Any object which is at rest has zero velocity, for example a rock on the road. car parked at lane, a motor which is not moving or stop. a man sleeping. home office statue of liberty. anything that is at rest has zero velocity.

What are conditions for an object to stay at rest to keep moving at constant velocity?

The condition for an object to stay at rest or if moving, moving at a constant velocity is that the sum of forces acting on the object be zero or that no force acts on the object.

When the net force on an object is zero what will the object in motion do?

The object will remain at rest if it was at rest or will maintain its motion with uniform velocity if it was moving.
