Its a Stevens 39a or 59a
The J.C. Higgins Model 10125, a shotgun produced by the J.C. Higgins brand for Sears, was manufactured in the early to mid-20th century, specifically around the 1950s. The exact age can vary depending on the specific production date, but it is generally considered to be over 60 years old. To determine its precise age, you would need to check the serial number or any specific manufacturing details associated with that model.
That shotgun was made for Sears by Savage/Stevens and is basically the Stevens 59A bolt-action. Remove the takedown screw from the bottom of the stock and separate the metal from the wood. Remove the bolt stop screw from the left side of the receiver and remove the bolt rearward. We do not recommend any further disassembly.
Should be worth from $75 to $150, depending on condition.
