What kinds of tricks can you teach a hamster?

guinea pigs can learn all sorts of tricks if you teach them right. They can learn how to spin around to climbing up the stairs. The trick is bribing them with yummy foods. I have tried lots of times to teach my guinea pigs tricks but unfortunately they are not very interested in treats or other vegetables so i just use grass, simple yet effective. It really depends on your guinea pigs taste so try out different foods and if they take a liking to any of them, you have to (if you were trying to teach them to walk up the stairs for instance) put the food on the step in front of them and pat their bottom when they climb up the stair treat them with the food, do this again and again until you get to the top, but if the guinea pig squeals at all during this exercise take him/her away immediately.

You can teach rabbits and bunnies so many things like standing up,jumping trough hoops,running in circles,tell them to go home and so much more. I know you want to learn HOW to teach them these tricks but I don't have your answer. I am trying to teach my bunny "coffee" to learn these tricks too. u can teach them to understand the word no. when they do something they are not supposed to, raise your voice a little and clap your hands and say no. if they do it again keep doing it until they stop. eventually they will learn what they can do

They can be taught to run an obstacle course, jump thru hoops, push balls with their noses, just about anything you can think of. They love pop cans with the tab pulled off and a small pebble inside. (cover the hole with a piece of tape) they will push them around and toss them in the air.

yo, i have taught mine to stand on its hind legs by using food...also i have taught it to jump through small hoops...depends on the rabbit basically though...good luck

I once had a hamster who I taught to place his paw on my hand through the bars of his cage when I told him to say please in exchange for a treat.
