Holstein bulls, as well as other dairy bulls are dangerous. They are unpredictable and at 2000lbs are very strong. A review of death by bulls in a 4 year period in the early 2000's in the Midwest tells me that complacency on the part of the handler played a part. Bulls can be docile and normal and well behaved for a year and then, one day stomp or butt the farmer or stock handler to death. Raising them as calves and trying to treat them as pets has not altered their unpredictable violent natures.
They are not pets, they cannot be reasoned with. For many farmers the right choice is artificial insemination. It lessens the danger and can provide more genetic diversity to the dairy herd.
Yes, Holstein bulls can have horns. However, many Holstein bulls are dehorned when they are young to prevent injuries to other animals and humans.
A Holstein cow will average at around 1600 lbs. Bulls average around 2300 lbs.

Holstein heifers can be bred at around 15 months of age. Bulls can be used for breeding by the time they reach around 12 months of age.
Holstein bulls are commonly raised for beef production, and their meat is safe for human consumption. However, the meat from mature bulls may be tougher and less desirable compared to meat from younger animals. It is important to ensure that the meat has been properly processed and prepared before consumption.

Holstein cows are generally bred to be quite docile as they need to be handled at least twice a day for milking. The caveat is that they would be more docile if handled when young on a daily basis, which does not generally happen in large commercial dairy herds. Holstein bulls can be quite agressive...as can most bulls.
