The console has no place to save game data. It saves either to the cartridge or a memory card inserted into the back of the controller.
To play Nintendo GameCube games on ANY Wii console, just insert the disc into the slot. Be sure to have Nintendo GameCube controllers and a memory card if you want to save your games. The slots for the cards and controllers are on the top of the console
On the Nintendo ds system, the game saves onto the card, not the console. Some games save automatically, while others you have to manually tell it to save. But I do believe that there is a card where you can put all of your daughter's games onto that one card, so it make travel a lot easier so you don't have to bring ALL your games. save it to a memory card and insert the memory card to the front of the console or connect the Wii to your computer with the USB cord
Cartridge-based games will save to the cartridge. A memory card is necessary only if you download DSi-ware games from the shop.

You can use GameCube memory cards, but only to save on GameCube games, not Wii games. The Wii already has 512 MB of internal memory, and an optional SD Memory Card can be used to save Wii games.
Nintendo DS save data is saved to the game card, not the console. For most games there is a button combination or menu selection to delete the save data. L+R+A+B+X+Y while the Nintendo logo is displayed will work for many Nintendo games. If you are using an R4 or other flashcart, you can simply delete the file [ROM filename].SAV
just insert a ps1 memory card in slot 1, then it will save your ps1 game.
The Nintendo DSi cannot save pictures without an SD card. SD card must also be compatible with the Nintendo DSi to be able to save photos.
Simple, all you need is a Gamecube controller, a gamecube memory card to save games and a gamecube game to play.
the cartridge
Theres never really been a console or handheld where you save it to your disk, except the Nintendo DS's (they arent disks but more like chips). But on the PSP you save it to the memory stick.
