No eggs are one of the foods that are on the low scale in purines and are therefore better then most foods to eat. remember that all foods that start up as living cells have purines that are metabolised into uric acid by the bodyand egs have relatively few.

Eggs are low in purines and can be eaten in moderation. The egg white is no problem, however the egg yolk caries the purines that are turned into the uric acid you are trying to avoid.
