No. Satanists are atheists, Luciferians are split between some that are theistic and some that are not. THe non- theistic Luciferians share some but not all beliefs of Satanists.
Satan is another name for Lucifer. The fallen angel
when everyone in a group has the same tradition
Because of religious rights "the" can't ban Wicca or Satanism for the same reason. Wiccans are NOT satanists. Wiccans can be considered the European earth-based religion which predates Christianity. Satanists are very different!

Satanism is an exceptionally individualistic religion with no specific creed and is practised by persons who are not inclined to accept arbitrary limitations on their personal conduct. Theistic Satanists are liable to embrace same-sex marriage because Christianity generally labels it as sin. LaVeyan Satanists are likely to approve of the perceived rebelliousness of the idea, but perhaps frown on whatever attempt at conformity is inherent in the practice.

Satan, by definition, is the physical embodiment of all that is evil (evil for these purposes being immoral or contrary to the traits we value as humans, ie humility and charity run contrary to pride and greed etc.) for this reason it is natural to '' satanists the perceived supporters of such a source. In contemporary society, I assume that people 'hate' satanists for the same reason they would hate drug dealers or any other kind of person who engages in activity that society at large views as 'immoral'. Immoral behaviour, or behaviour that an individual views as immoral is seen as a threat to self and society. For that reason, since most people do not value Satan as moral then it would be natural for them to ostracize or 'hate' satanists. Also, Satanists tend to be scapegoats for immoral behaviour (murderings, the loud music the kids are into, etc) and this reinforced the 'hatred' of them.
No, they are not banned from China. During 1982, when Iron Maiden's most popular and controversial albums, The Number of the Beast was released. The United States took this and thought that Iron Maiden were satanic. Burning of this album in bonfires was common.During the 1990s, Iron Maiden were banned from Chile for the same reasons, that Iron Maiden were satanists and unholy. This is not true, they are not satanists.
A Satanist is opposed to the beliefs of Christians. It is like darkness and light, the one being opposite to the other. Though Satanists know that there is a God, for it was that same God who placed Satan in his present state, they will do all in their power to turn man away from God and become as miserable as themselves.
This phrase means that this tradition has not been changed in time or in other words, it has remained the same for years.
