Are The Vampire Diaries like twilight?

are different to the tv show. but the twilight saga is the same.

Well, I'm going by the TV series. First of all, Edward can go in the sun, but he sparkles. Stefan can't go in the sun unless he is wearing a special ring, which keeps him from burning. Also, when Edward is blood-hungry, his eyes just turn red. Stefan's face turns a grey shade, then wrinkle-like lines form under his eyes, and pointy teeth appear so he can get into the bloodstream. Also, Edward can read minds, Stefan can't. He can only control a mortals mind by using what they call, compulse. Stefan is also a lot older than Edward. Lastly, Stefan fights with his brother constantly, for he does not approve of his brother feeding on humans. Edward on the other hand gets along great with his family because they all have the same lifestyle.

well in away... yes because 2 guys are fighting over the main girl even though in twilight ( Jacob black and Edward Cullen ) ones a werewolf and the other is a vampire and in the vampire diaries ( stefan and Damon salvatore ) they are both brother vampires . also the main girls ( Bella Swan-now Cullen- and Elena Gilbert ) turn into vampires in the last book of their series and ofcourse the fact that its about vampires !

and no because in vampire diaries there's Katherine pierce ( a vampire that looks exactly like Elena and later is to be revealed a relative ) and Elena's friends' lives like bonnie ( a witch ) and in twilight the focus is sometimes mainly on the cullens and the evil vampires James Victoria and laurent or the werewolf pack

and also the vampire difference's like in vampire diaries they can burn in fire and i think light and can survive only on blood ( like the ancient fictional vampires ) , and in twilght they can eat human food but have problems with digesting but say it tastes like dirt, they can see there reflection , are beautiful but sparkle in the light and arent harmed by things that ancient fictional vampires are.

so there are different but a little the same

Both vampires and Zombies are dead bodies re-animated. The major distinction would be that zombies cannot heal or even maintain their bodies and tend to rot. Vampires however, by stealing nutrients and life-force from victims, can heal and maintain their bodily health.

In actuality, considering all the different types of creatures in these two categories there is a continuum from the most rotten zombie and the most psychic of vampires. The 'dividing line' would be with those vampires can maintain their bodies but cannot recover major wounds and amputations.

They are both really good. Twilight has some really big good plots while the vampire diaries have tones of small plots and great cliff hangers.
