How often do you add chlorine?

We added an automatic chlorinator which has made life a little simpler--if you cannot do that we had floaters in our pool all the time with tablet chlorine & we have put tablets in the skimmer basket to quickly get the chlorine in the water.

When can you get in underground pool after you put chlorine?

Chlorine is usually kept in the pool at all times in the form of a tablet, if you mean the chlorine shock treatment which is a poweder that dissloves into the pool, I'd give it anywhere from 30 minutes to a day, depending on how much powder you've used to how many tablets are currently in the pool. Chlorine won't necessarily hurt you, since we swim in pools with it all the time, but it can burn your olfactory senses.

Do all bleaches have chlorine?

No, not all bleaches have chlorine. There are different types of bleaches such as oxygen bleach (hydrogen peroxide-based) and non-chlorine bleach (sodium perborate or sodium percarbonate-based), which do not contain chlorine.

When the salt cell dies how do you just run your pool on chlorine?

Just add Chlorine manually to the pool... I recomend liquid chlorine, because if you decide to replace the cell the calcum from powder chlorine will clog up the cell... How much chlorine should you add depends on so many factors eg the size of the pool, the water temp, how much you use the pool ect, ect. Its All trial & Error. where i live, in east sydney Australia for an average pool (50,000L) i tell people 1L a day in summer & 1L every 2-4 Days in winter. but you really should get a test kit & test the chlorine every few day till you work out the chlorine demand of your pool....

How does fluorine electronegativity compare to the electronegativity of oxygen and chlorine?

Fluorine has the highest electronegativity of all the elements, with a value of 3.98. Oxygen has an electronegativity of 3.44, while chlorine has an electronegativity of 3.16. This means that fluorine is the most electronegative, followed by oxygen, and then chlorine.

The different types of chlorine?

There are three main types of chlorine used for water treatment: chlorine gas, sodium hypochlorite (liquid bleach), and calcium hypochlorite (solid form). Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages, but all are effective at disinfecting water and killing harmful bacteria and pathogens.

Does the bible tell us how big the tablets of the ten commandments were?

No, the bible never told us how big the ten commandment tablets were- they might not even be stone tablets at all.

Stablize pool chemicals?

Please ask a question. If you are asking what stabilized pool chemicals are, then research the pool chemical Cyanuric Acid. That is the actual product "Stabilizer" while cyanuric acid also makes up around 10% of quality chlorine tablets and the chlorine shock Sodium Dichloro-s-triazine-trione. The "S" in the middle there stands for stabilizer. All the stuff is is a layer of "Sunscreen" for your chlorine.

How many chlorine tablets do you use in a 4400 gallon pool and how often?

To answer your question , the number of tablets depends on a lot of things and uses. If the pool is for private use, look on the container and you will get an approximate number of tablets to use. Then by testing the water every day you can add more or fewer tablets to achieve the level of chlorine that is most satisfying and comfortable to you and your family, usually 1.5 ppm for a household private pool and 2.0ppm for a hotel or country club pool. Any thing larger and you should use a liquid chlorine which requires a whole other set of vats and pumps and a stricter monitoring of chlorine and pH levels which need to be recorded so an inspector from the town can view it at any time. To find out how many tablets to start off with you multiply length by width by approximate average depth which will give you approx. Gallons and number of tablets should be listed on container the chlorine came in.

What size chlorine tablet should you use for a 28000 gallon pool?

Depends on what the chlorine demand is for your pool. 1 inch tablets are not compressed as hard as 3 inch tabs and skimmer sticks. If your pool requires more chlorine you may want to use 1 inch tablets. If it has a low chlorine demand skimmer sticks may be all your need. Skimmer sticks are the hardest compressed and slower dissolving.

What are the ingredients of chlorine in a pool?

Depends on what compounds you are using.... it could be sodium chloride, potassium chloride, or any number of compunds, but all will produce by-products which could be harmful... also, when the chlorine reacts with carbons and organics in the water it produces dichloramines, tri-chloramines, hydrochlorous acid ( which kills bacteria), ammonia's and so forth...... it just depends on how far you want to go

How do you convert a Bacqucil pool to chlorine?

It,s easy. Just Shock your pool with a chlorine shock and then make sure the chlorine level is where you need it to be. It, more involved if you go from Chlorine to Bacqucil. but why would you want to Bacqucil is so much nicer and easier.

What is the best chlorine for above ground pool?

There are several types of Chlorine. All have good points and bad points. To answer your question: I recommend Tri-Chlore in a floater or Feeder. These are the 3" pucks or 1" tablets . They are the most economical. 99% active ingredient. Tri-Chlore is Stabilized, meaning it is protected from UV light and will stay in the pool longer. They will leave a white spot in the liner if they come in contact for any extended period of time and they will lower the pH a lot. Cal-Hypo is good but you have to add it every day and there is a lot of residue left over and it can bleach your liner as well. And is not stabilized the sun will lower the level. Di-Chlore is about the same. Sodium Hypochlorite ( Liquid) has several draw backs. One it ruins a lot of clothes, Two is will raise the total De-solved Solids and if they get to high you have to exchange water to lower the TDS. It also will raise your pH. It's not stabilized, The sun will take it out of the pool. Keep in mind you should never put chlorine in through the skimmer if you have a heater or Salt-Chlorine generator as this will eat out the metals. Then you end up with a lot of copper in your pool, and your water locks up. We'll save that for another time.

How long do septic system chlorine tablets last?

Why on earth would you put chlorine into a septic system? The idea is to allow bacteria to break down the waste and liquefy it. If you kill all the bacteria, you have turned the septic system into a sewage storage pit. Plan on pumping it out, a lot.
