The amazons were the first human beings to set foot on earth, or at least while the gods were at war. They reforged in the Styx Garden, until the god Pan came along and made them creatures of war. He used them to fight for him while he was sick because of the humans polluting and killing the forests.
"This world was meant to never be clean... so I must leave the earth now."
After Pan died, the amazons died away with the dying god, since they had been enhanced with a body chain spell. But three were still alive, and they were held prisoners by the god Hades. They were changed into dark and ugly creatures, with rotting skin and a dying soul; the Three Witches.
Well that's how the story is told, but how the witches die is a totally new story...
